Changing Direction

I’m not sure where I’m going to go with this blog.  It’s been pretty dead here lately.  Since I’m reluctant to just give it up altogether I thought I’d change direction a little bit and use this space to at least write a weekly update for myself.

Anyway, since my 40th is fast approaching, I thought I’d give myself a bit of a shove and give another go at losing some of the extra weight I’ve put on in the last few years.

My goal is to lose 25lbs in 8 weeks (by my birthday) and along the way be more consistent with healthy food choices, increase my physical activity and be more focused on accomplishment rather than merely intent.  It’s nice that I really want to, but until I actually start doing I’m not really making progress.

Anyway, my check in day will be Tuesday but I doubt very much I’ll be writing here otherwise.  At least, until the 8 weeks are up.

    You go girl – you can do it. What date is the big 4-0 by the way?

    Now this is your mother speaking – no fad dieting, and lots of exercise ok?

    Thanks Cate! November 20th is the big day. I am both excited and nervous. It’s like a whole new chapter.

    Yes’m. No fad diets…as well as being harmful they set a bad example for Daughter.

    I don’t think I’ll ever stop blogging altogether but boy do I miss you guys.
